La Familia Vacation: Chapter One
1. We rented a cottage on the Lake.

It is Pretty Here. (When it is not busy monsooning.)

So we enjoy the sceneries.

2. There have been sightings of Homicidal Rabbits.

4. And Baby Geese, which, thankfully, were less prone to fits of violence.

5. "Wooshies" were sought ruthlessly.

6. And a few were procured.

More days (and possibly more teensy fish) to come.
And some nephews to boot!

Happy Mother's Day
To Me!
And we celebrate also Isaac's First Mama. I think of her often. My heart breaks for her and the excruciating decisions she had to make. But without her, I would not have been blessed so tremendously with this amazing little boy. So wherever she is today, I hope she is well, and that she knows that he's very loved and so very cared for.

In Which there Was Chalk on the Sidewalk, Which was Promptly Washed Away in a Rainstorm
Pretending to Smile, but Sort of Almost Glaring
These are from a week or two ago (on a different rainy day), since lately we have been monsooned (not quite as badly as Nashville) and windy, and therefore the prospect of playing outside has been less than enthralling. (Notably, that decline in enthusiasm is exclusive to Me, however, and not The Boy, and he continues to beg excitedly to go "oss-eye" on a regularly scheduled basis and there is much weeping and gnashing of teeth when I try to explain rain to him and why we are not going to play oss-eye today but if he will please stop mourning the lack of sunshine and claiming an impending vitamin D deficiency we might venture out to the mailbox when the deluge dies down since postpeople pride themselves on their painfully weather-resistant delivery of all my bills and adverts; despite the fact that I am not sure, what with all the clouds and overcastness, not to mention his coat, that he will be getting any vitamin D out of the venture.)
The end.
