Impending Verbosity

Isaac has been picking up many new words of late. Here are the ones I've jotted down lately:

Wuzzat (What is that) *He says this approximately 4.7 billion times per day.
Wizzy (where is it)
Ah Ga (all gone)
Ah Da (all done)
Nah-Nye (night-night)
Kosh (socks)
Ummy (yummy)
Uh-Oh
Baff (bath)
Doddy (Doggy-- Often accompanied by "Woo-Woo" barking sounds)
Tuck (stuck)
Kiki (Kitty)
Off
Dum (down)
No (this one is quite clear)
Dit (sit... He says this to the "Doddy")
Appo (applesauce)
Kuch (Truck... Voom, voom)
Kai (Car)
Munch (Orange)
Manny (Banana)
Cow
Weesee (Horsey)
Cheech (Cheese)
AhLaLo (I love you)-- This is mostly in reference to a (very cute) book that is called "How Do I Love You". If you say "I Love You" to him, he usually responds with "Nah-Nye"
Coat
Oss-eye (Outside)
Bah-Bye
Moom (Moon- this is in a couple of books)
Bee (includes birds)
Yaaayy! (When he goes in the potty)
Hench (Hand/Hands)
Bup/Bus (Bus)

Got somethin' in the Oven.

Day at the Park

It was just a little chilly this morning (seriously, all the best weather happens on the days when I'm working) but we ventured to a local park anyway.
Shades and all.

The slides were fun!

And we played Tic Tac Toe.

And played on the swings too!

Seriously, pretty much the Mother of all Play Yards.
Most of which was above his developmental level, but still, it was fun to get outside for a while.
And we spotted many a Kai (car) and Kuch (truck) go by on the road.
And sat on all the benches.
And didn't want to go home. (At least some of us.)

And then it was springtime.

Lovely Weather

Today's bodacious weather was celebrated by spending a long time
"Oss."
which commoners may refer to commonly as "outside."

The car does not travel as well on grass,
but does continue to play its music satisfactorily.

At the little picnic table

Chillin.

My boy.

Not Me! Monday

Normally I do not take part in this esteemed Monday phenomenon, however, since I am totally a shoe-in for Mother of the Year, I think it's best to let the competition feel like they have a shot.

This week, I did NOT take my son outdoors in an effort to take pictures of his cute little self in his Ethiopian Traditional Garb, and set him right smack in the middle of an anthill to do so.

(Note his left arm.)

This is just moments before the panicked yelling began.
{Mine, not his.}
He never seemed to figure out what all the commotion was about.

Better and Insect-free Ethiopian Outfit Pictures shall be forthcoming.

Tummy Time

The last couple days it's been warm enough I didn't think it wise to melt the babe in many layers of clothing.
So I skipped the onesie portion of the routine.
And I think he likes his tummy,
because he walked around most of the day like this:

Also, he cannot be convinced that his nipples and belly button are not "owies."
