I was noticing the other day that Isaac keeps looking older. I am not sure how this happens, as I specifically included in his contract that he was supposed to stay my Little Boy forever. :) I have also noticed that I have been very bad about taking pictures lately. It doesn't help that he makes it a point not to look at me when I have a camera pointed at him, but I haven't really put forth that much effort in this department lately. I shall henceforth expend more energy in the photo-documenting of young Isaac's life. (Maybe.) (Ok, Probably.) (Sigh.) (We'll see.)
Furthermore, I decided against running the Half Marathon. (which I would have done today instead of writing this.) I trained (fairly) regularly for the last 12 weeks, and am definitely in better shape than when I started, and of that I am at least mildly to moderately proud. However, my intentions in signing up for the race were more social than athletic. I was hoping to meet and run regularly with a small group of ladies who were planning to all run it together. This, sadly, did not ever come to fruition, and I decided, after much ado (indecision being one of my more developed spiritual gifts) that I did not feel like driving 2+ hours and paying for a hotel to run very very far, once again, by myself. (Hey, it was worth a shot, and no hard feelings. It just didn't work out like I thought.) And once I decided not to run, I felt slightly like a quitter, but mostly relieved. I was more nervous about it than I thought. So, instead, John and Isaac and I spent the day (thus far) being very productive. Being productive, and checking many things off my To Do list, are among My Favorite Things. (Despite their regrettable omission in the song of the same name.)
Lastly, I have been neglectful of my blog of late. This mostly being because of our very sketchy and intermittent internet access over the last few weeks. Don't get John started on this topic, lest he regale you with his hatred of all things M*diacom. For now it is working, however, and I should stay on topic lest the internet again be out of my grasp by the time I get done rambling in blog form.
Now, without further ado, I do have a few pictures of Isaac. For all you Grandmas out there. :)
I think he is feeling very sneaky there sitting on the coffee table and getting away with it.
But I thought I would use any opportunity to catch this sweet face.
Before he decides to stick out his tongue...
